3 women among 10 civilians injured in Bijbehara grenade attack

At least ten persons including three women were injured in a grenade blast in Goriwaan area of Bijbehara in South 's Anantnag district, officials said.
“Reportedly HG (hand grenade) hurled at Goriwan Chowk at Bijbehara. Some civilians injured. Further details follow,” police tweeted.
Officials said that the militants hurled grenade at Goriwan Chowk on forces' vehicle.
“The grenade missed the target and exploded on the roadside, leaving ten civilians wounded,” they said.
Medical Superintendent of Sub District Hospital Bijbehara confirmed injuries to ten civilians, saying that four among them were shifted to Srinagar's SMHS hospital for specialized treatment.
The injured who were rushed to SDH Bijbehara were identified as Muhammad Abdullah Shah, son of Ghulam Muhammad Shah of Bijbehara (both legs injury), Ishtiyaq Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar of Badigam (both legs injury), Daizy Jan, wife of Manzoor Ahmad (Left leg injury), Tariq Ahmad Shah, driver at SDH Bijbehara of Tral (Chest injury refer to SMHS), Asif Ahmad, son of Muhammad Ashraf Teeli (leg injury), RozyAkhter, daughter of Ghulam Ahmad of Hasanpora (both legs, right eye injury), MuneeraAkhter, daughter of Abdul Rehman Dar of Sangam (left knee injury), Fazal Ahmad, son of Muhammad MaqboolHajam of zainpora (abdomen injury refer to SMHS), Tawseef Ahmad Hajam (refer to SMHS).
The list of injured civilians available with KNS reveals that one more injured was shifted to SMHS.
Meanwhile, Police also said that ten persons got injured in the grenade attack.
“Grenade attack took place at Goriwan choke Bijbehara in which ten civilians got injured including one twelve years old boy, four of the injured have been referred to sgr hospital for further treatment,” police tweeted. (KNS)
