Jammu Tawi, Jul 23 : Police have arrested two persons in connection with the theft of TMT rods and recovered 232 kg of the stolen material along with the vehicle used in the crime in Udhampur district, officials said on Thursday.
The case was registered at Rehambal police station after TMT rods were stolen from a construction site at Mand in Udhampur district on Wednesday, they said.
During the investigation, a police team apprehended the two accused, Mohit Kumar, a resident of Mirzapur and Rinku Kumar alias Kaka, a resident of Mand in Udhampur, the officials said.
Based on their disclosure, police recovered 232 kg of stolen iron TMT rods and seized the vehicle allegedly used in the commission of the offence, they said.
