NEW DELHI, June 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday chaired the 11th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors from across the country participating in deliberations on inclusive human development and employment generation.
The meeting is focusing on measures to promote entrepreneurship, strengthen skilling initiatives and create sustainable employment opportunities. Discussions are also centred on preparing an implementation roadmap leveraging governance reforms, digital public infrastructure and partnerships, while ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes.
The theme of this year’s meeting, “Inclusive Human Development for Viksit Bharat @2047,” underscores the well-being and development of every citizen irrespective of age, region, gender or socio-economic background. Participants are deliberating on strategies to translate the vision into tangible and measurable benefits for people across the country.
The Governing Council is examining an Inclusive Human Development Framework built around four key pillars — foundational human capital and future-ready skills, productive employment and entrepreneurship with decentralised growth, health and nutrition for overall well-being, and equity and dignity for all.
The meeting has brought together the states and Union Territories to discuss coordinated efforts aimed at achieving the goal of a developed India by 2047. (Agencies)
