Udhampur, Mar 31: Seven persons were injured on Tuesday after a passenger auto (JK14G/2923) met with an accident at Kallaser Morh in Chenani area of Udhampur district.
Officials said five of the injured were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur for further treatment, while two others with minor injuries were treated on the spot.
Those referred to GMC include a 16-year-old from Gharian Kallan, a 26-year-old from Nagulta, and three residents of Kallaser aged 90, 66 and 35 years.
The two other injured, identified as Soni Devi (17) and Shavli Devi (19), sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
Police and local authorities rushed to the spot and launched rescue efforts. The condition of the hospitalized patients is stated to be stable, while the cause of the accident is under investigation. (Agencies)
