JAMMU, March 13: A head constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police and his wife were killed, while their two children sustained injuries in a road accident near Basti village in Bhaderwah area of Doda district.
Officials said an Alto car lost control near Basti village and plunged into a river. Head constable Zulfikar Ali and his wife died on the spot, while the children were injured.
The officer was reportedly on his way to duty when the accident occurred. The injured children have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered the case and taken cognizance of the incident. (Agencies)
