Jammu, Mar 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has sanctioned the promotion of 24 Junior Scale officers to the Time Scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) in Pay Level-11 (₹67,700–2,08,700), with effect from January 1, 2026 on a notional basis and on a regular basis prospectively.
According to Government Order No. 314-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the officers promoted include Mohammad Zubair Lattoo, Narinder Kumar, Muazzam Ali, Priya Lakshmi, Mohd Azhar Lone, Indu Jamwal, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat, Asiya Nazir, Rashi Dutta, Akanksha Kalsotra, Preeti Sharma, Dr Farukh Nasir Paul, Muneeb Umar, Bhumika Sharma, Parveez Ahmad Bhat, Saniya Malik, Aamir Ayaz Rather, Mamta Rajput, Kewal Krishan Sharma, Shafqat Ali, Kanchan Bala, Abdul Rashid Raina, Mohd Raiyaz and Mohammad Yousuf Ganaie.
Consequent upon the promotion, Wakeel Ahmed Bhat and Dr Farukh Nasir Paul have been designated as Deputy Secretaries in their respective departments, while the remaining officers will continue at their present places of posting until further orders.
The order further stated that the promotions shall remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions pending before competent courts of law.
