Jammu, Mar 12: Security forces have busted a terrorist hideout in a remote forest area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir and recovered an improvised explosive device (IED), officials said on Thursday.
The hideout was unearthed during a search operation launched by troops of the Rashtriya Rifles in the Chamrer forest area of Thanamandi on Wednesday evening, they said.
During the search, security personnel recovered a ready-to-use IED from the hideout along with some eatables and clothes believed to have been stocked by militants operating in the area.
Officials said no arrests have been made so far in connection with the recovery. Further searches are underway to trace the militants who may have used the hideout. (Agencies)
