    J&K Govt Reconstitutes Establishment-Cum-Selection Committee

    JAMMU, Jan 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has reconstituted the Establishment-cum-Selection Committee with effect from January 20, 2026, in partial modification of an earlier order, according to an official notification issued by the General Administration Department.

    As per Government Order No. 95-JK(GAD) of 2026, the committee will be chaired by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo. Financial Commissioners (Additional Chief Secretaries) Shaleen Kabra of the Jal Shakti Department and Dr Ashish Chandra Verma of the Tourism Department have been nominated as members.

    Principal Secretary Finance Santosh D. Vaidya, Commissioner/Secretary General Administration Department M. Raju, and Secretary Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Achal Sethi will also be members of the committee. Achal Sethi will function as the Member Secretary.

    The order further states that the Administrative Secretary of the department concerned will be co-opted as a special invitee whenever required. The terms of reference and the procedure to be followed by the committee for selections will remain unchanged, as laid down in Government Order No. 14-BB-GAD of 2011.

    The reconstituted committee will continue to oversee selections for posts falling within its prescribed jurisdiction, the order added.
