Rajouri, Nov 4: At least 28 passengers, including several students, were injured on Tuesday when an overloaded and overspeeding minibus overturned in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
According to officials, two children with critical injuries were airlifted to Jammu for advanced treatment, while the remaining victims were taken to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for immediate medical care.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Tejinder Singh, and SSP Rajouri Gaurav Sikarwar visited GMC Rajouri to check on the injured and ensure proper treatment facilities.
Authorities have ordered an inquiry into the accident. Preliminary investigations suggest that the mishap occurred due to overspeeding and reckless driving. (Agencies)
