After persistent reporting by Northlines regarding systematic stagnation, government has finally released an adjustment list of Superintendent Engineers.
According to Government Order No. 301-PW (R&B) of 2025, Dated: 09.10.2025 adjustment of In-charge Superintending Engineers have been ordered.
The available document reads, vide Government Order No. 241-PW(R&B) of 2025 dated 30.07.2025, twelve (12) in-charge Executive Engineers (Civil) have been placed as In-charge Superintending Engineer (Civil) and are awaiting orders of further adjustment.
“Now therefore, in the interest of administration and smooth functioning of the Departmental works, the adjustment of in-charge Superintending Engineers (Civil) have been made,” reads the order.
Northlines had reported how despite promotions of nearly a dozen officers, many have neither been posted to circles nor adjusted into proper positions.
“Promotions were announced, but no postings followed. Some engineers are continuing at their old positions, while others remain without assignments. This eye-wash approach has created chaos,” said an official, wishing anonymity.
