CHANDIGARH, Nov 26: An explosion occurred early Tuesday morning at a bar in Chandigarh’s Sector 26, causing minor structural damage but no casualties. According to police, the blast, which took place between 2:30 and 2:45 AM, was the result of a low-intensity explosive thrown by two suspects on a motorcycle outside the De’orra club, near the Sevillee bar and lounge.
The blast shattered several window panes and caused minor damage to the buildings. A nearby club also sustained some damage. Authorities suspect the explosive device was a homemade bomb, potentially linked to extortion, though this has not been officially confirmed.
Chandigarh Police responded promptly to the scene, launching an investigation with the help of bomb detection teams and forensic experts. The Science Laboratory team also arrived to collect evidence from the site. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing to identify the perpetrators and determine the cause of the explosion.
