Jammu Tawi: Movement Kalki’s protest demanding the recognition of cows as the ‘National Mother’ and the implementation of stricter cow protection laws continues for its 33rd consecutive day. The protest, which also calls for the establishment of a Sanatan Board and Cow Protection Board, saw the performance of a Havan Yajna under the guidance of Baba Khandeshwari Ji.

Baba Khandeshwari Ji reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to its cause, stating, “We will continue our struggle until justice is served for the holy cow and the government takes concrete steps in this regard.” He emphasized that the Yajna was not only a symbol of their determination but also a prayer for world peace while seeking justice for cows.

Board Member Karnal Chand expressed concern over the growing issue of cow trafficking, stating, “Both the government and the community have remained silent on this issue. The Gujjar community, which plays a crucial role in cow rearing and dairy farming, has been severely impacted by this problem. Movement Kalki is resolute in ensuring the enactment of strict laws.”

Vikram Mahajan, another board member, reiterated the protest’s goal, saying, “We have been protesting for the past 33 days. Through today’s Havan Yajna, we have reaffirmed our commitment to world peace and securing the status of ‘National Mother’ for cows.”

Support for the protest was also voiced by Monika Sharma, President of the Sathi Social Service Club, who stated, “We demand that cows be granted the status of ‘National Mother’ as soon as possible, along with a complete ban on cow slaughter and capital punishment for those involved in such acts.”

The event saw prominent members of Movement Kalki, including Sanjeev Dubey, Sunita Kundal, Vikram Mahajan, Dr. Sudesh Kumar, Karnal Chand, Pawan Narang, Advocate Someshwar Kohli, and others, joining the protest.
