The delegation congratulated Minister Rana on his recent appointment and discussed a range of pressing issues impacting the people of Jammu. During the meeting, Dimple raised several critical concerns, with a primary focus on the acute shortage of drinking water in Jammu city. He emphasized the urgent need for action to address the water crisis and called for the immediate commencement of work on the Chenab Water Supply Project, which aims to supply drinking water from the Akhnoor River to Jammu city. Dimple highlighted the importance of completing this project at the earliest to ensure that the people of Jammu receive clean drinking water twice a day. Additionally, Dimple demanded the procurement of new water tankers for Jammu city and the region. The delegation also discussed the long-standing issue of the regularization of daily wagers, contractual workers, and need-based workers across various departments, particularly in the PHE department. Dimple urged Minister Javed Rana to take immediate steps to regularize these workers, who have been serving in temporary positions for years. Minister Javed Ahmad Rana listened to the delegation and assured them that their demands would be considered seriously and that efforts would be made to address them at the highest level.
