Will ‘see’ BJP in upcoming Assembly polls: Lal Singh

Date:

Tawi, Jun 4: Accepting defeat in Udhampur from Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh, Congress party's Chaudhary Lal Singh Tuesday said that ‘he will see them (BJP) in upcoming elections'.

“We contested the elections in the first phase, for which I got just 20 days and all the equations were against the opposition, despite that people shower their blessing and I managed 4,46,703, which shows the resentment of youth and poor against present government,” he said, as per KNO news agency, adding, “I am 100% sure the first time voters and educated class voted against the current regime”.

Lal Singh also claimed that he managed to give a tough fight despite all the odds.

“Before elections he (Dr Jitendra Singh) claimed a lead of 4-5 lakh , which was reduced with effective fighting,” he said. Lal Singh claimed that seats in first phases will suffer but after a few phases the discourse of election has been changed and Prime Minister's speeches derailed from the main topics to ridiculous things like ‘Mujra' and INDI Alliance manage to touch people's issues and get good performance.

Singh also said that the present election acts as a launching point for upcoming assembly elections, where the Congress party will outperform and comfortably defeat BJP
