A major part of PUBG’s 2024 roadmap is adding destructible environments, taking a page from Fortnite’s dynamic battlefields. While players won’t be able to demolish whole structures, some sections will now crumble, opening new strategic possibilities. A teaser showed a player using a pickaxe to dig sheltered positions – just a taste of how surroundings may adapt.
This destructible environments update launches in April with further evolutions planned bi-monthly. Rather than focusing on new modes, PUBG doubles down on sharpening the battle royale experience that made it a hit.
