Attari Border like parade at Suchetgarh will push Tourism!

Date:

It is for sure that no one in the country or elsewhere can raise a question over the dexterity of the government led by PM Narendra Modi for accomplishing a job which requires interaction and approval by the Pakistani counterparts as the has seen in the case of opening of corridor for Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur in Narowal district of Pakistan because despite the hostilities things went in cordial manner and today devotees are visiting the western neighbour of with extreme levels of convenience.

In the same context, those who really want to develop the BOP Octroi Post at Suchetgarh in R S Pura Sector as an international tourist destination giving unprecedented fillip to the tourism potential of the region in line with Attari Border near Amritsar, it becomes necessary to take PM Modi into confidence as if the idea clicks and he got convinced then no power on earth can stop this from becoming a reality with border security forces of both sides participating in a Parade giving new wings to tourism in the region. The first and foremost requirement for such a set-up is locals mounting pressure on the government as they comprise the first line of stakeholders because everything else comes after their interests.

Starting Attari border like parade at Suchetgarh border post is not a big thing for PM Modi but for this all the stakeholders should approach him including the J&K administration and the upcoming date of Feb 20 is the best time to project this demand to take the tourism sector to level next in J&K.

Already, the Chief Secretary held discussions with the Special Director General, Border Security Force and decided to increase the frequency of the Beating Retreat ceremony at BOP Octroi Suchetgarh from existing two days to four days a week which shall now be organized every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Introducing Attari-like parade at Suchetgarh has the potential to be a game-changer, signaling a significant step towards fostering a sense of pride, unity, and patriotism among the people of the region. Such a move would not only honour the rich history and of the area but also strengthen the bond between the border residents and the security forces guarding the borders.

Nevertheless, implementing such a parade would require careful planning and coordination between various stakeholders, including the local administration, security forces, and residents of the area apart from PM Modi's intervention in chalking out everything including charting out formalities after getting a nod from Pakistani authorities.

All said and done, the need of the time is to take all possible steps to make this vision a reality, ensuring that it serves as a lasting symbol of unity, pride, and patriotism apart from becoming a remarkable step in boosting tourism and of the region in an unparalleled manner.
