Troops deployed on LoC to upgrade counter-ingress-grid

Date:

Jammu Tawi, August 5 (KIP):- Fresh alert has been sounded on the entire LOC
after reports reveal that militants were being pushed into for
raising the level of violence.

According to Ministry reports, Pakistani Army has been
responsible for resorting to frequent ceasefire violations and till
August 5 there were as many as 300 such violations in which both
civilians and soldiers were either killed or injured

Since Pak troops were engaged in raising the level of
infiltration of militants Indian troops, deployed on the LOC, have
been asked to remain on high alert lest the enemy should be able to
facilitate militants in sneaking into Kashmir.

Pakistan has made it clear to the that peace in Kashmir
would mean settlement of the Kashmir issue and as such Islamabad has
decided to keep the cauldron of violence boiling which alone, Pakistan
thinks, could attract attention of the super powers.

And another purpose of escalating violence in Kashmir by
Pakistani agencies could motivate any third country including the UN
to either intervene or mediate in the settlement of the Kashmir issue.
Though is opposed to any third party mediation and the US has
supported India by saying that since the issue is between the two
nations there should be bilateral talks between India and
Pakistan. (KIP)
