Lashkar’s Abu Dujana ‘finally’ gunned down in J&K after 20 escape bids

Abu Dujana, the Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander in and who has escaped on more than 20 occasions was finally killed in an encounter at Pulwama. In an encounter that broke out on Tuesday morning, the security forces also killed Arif Lilhaari another top Lashkar terrorist. The killing of Dujana is one of the biggest high points for the Indian Armed forces in the Valley.

Dujana is notorious for the numerous escapes he has made. In the past year alone he has given security forces the slip on over 5 occasions. An encounter had broken out between the security forces and security forces in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. Based on intelligence the security forces carried out a search operation at the Hakripora village in Pulwama. The forces realised about the presence of terrorists when they opened fire. The area has been cordoned off and operations have ended. Meanwhile, heavy stone pelting has begun. Internet services have been suspended.

On Monday one terrorist was killed in an encounter at the Turna village of Baramulla. The terrorists according to the forces was attempting to infiltrate when he was killed.
