Dy. SP slaps Legal Notice on 3 senior officers – X

Date:

S.K. Bhalla

It is not gibberish that is being shared with the readers of this esteemed Daily but a Legal Notice slapped by one lady Dy. SP Ms. Shashi Thakur presently at USA for a brief stint. This Notice dated 08.05.2017 has been sent on behalf of the aggrieved Lady Officer by Advocate D. S. Parihar. The officers who have been sent the Notice u/s 80 of CPC comprised Commissioner/Secretary to Govt. of J&K, Revenue Dept., Mr. Rajesh Kumar Shavan, Vice Chairman, JDA and Mr. Simrandeep Singh, the then Dy. Commissioner .

According to the Advocate his client was asked to present documentary proof in respect of the land properties and the structures built thereon belonging to Ms Shashi and her hubby. Mr. Shavan, the then Regional Director, Survey & Land Records (Ex-officio Settlement Officer) Jammu, visited the residence of the lady in question and showed authoritative attitude to corner and humiliate her  without any justification. Settled by Mr. Shavan, the then DC Jammu Mr. Simrandeep Singh, their Office bearers many a time even before sunrise and after the sunset visited the client's residence to dole out a huge humiliation, annoyance and harassment. The authority exerted by them was tainted with malice having corrupt element to achieve designed objective.

The then DC Jammu sided with land grabbers as per Notice and extended full support to the then Regional Director and even endorsed his false reports to shield culprits. Mr. Singh even made irrelevant and misleading remarks having direct bearing on the integrity, reputation and service career of the hounded lady Officer. Now the wounded lioness will hound them.

Para-3 of the notice reads, “That the cause of action against the Govt. of J&K through its Principal Commissioner/Secretary on doctrine of vicarious liability and as against Mr. Shavan and Mr. Simrandeep Singh to institute suit and claim compensation jointly or severally is continuously available to my client”.

On behalf of the lady Dy SP,  the trio have been called upon to pay jointly or severally an amount of Rs. 20-Lac as compensation within a period of 2-month from 08.05.2017 for causing unnecessary annoyance and harassment to DySP and her family members governed by malice and corrupt intentions.

A copy of the Notice was made available to Civil Vigilance Cell J&K (CVC) for educating the power intoxicated Officers to act methodically. The intoxication of power is so much that even during the hangover the concerned continue with their age old habits. Old habits die hard.

As per our inputs provided by I/C Youth Wing of CVC Mohit Sawhney all the three have gone into huddle, stunned into silence and even ducking for cover. “When probes become contaminated such developments do happen” says Mohit. The graph of performance as told is very poor. At CVC, we encourage stringent surveillance. The language of the Advocate Mr. Parihar is not wishy-washy. Corruption as per our members is pan- blight. Our Activists do not entertain manufactured anger and they have the intolerance of Activists. Let all not suffer from chronic memory losses since we have out of box solutions. Come and join us with anti-corruption related work/personal bio-data.
