Reasi, Sept 21: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organised inter-district Divisional level Archery competition in collaboration with SMVDSB at SMVD Sports Complex, Katra, here.
In total, four districts of Jammu Division took part in this competition held in both boys and girls sections. The participating districts were Reasi, Kathua, Kishtwar and Jammu.
Earlier, the competition declared open by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Katra, Deepak Dubey while Dr Kamal Kishore Dubey was guest of honour. Nodal Officer of SMVD Sports Complex, Dr Kamal Kishore Dubey was special guest.
The distinguished guests welcomed by Tarsem Singh, district (DYSS) officer Reasi, Tarsem Singh amidst encouragement of the participants by the chief guest. Ram Krishan Bhat, ZPEO Reasi was also present.
The competition conducted by the team of officials including Satish Singh, Devinder Kour, Jasbir Kour, Jaswinder Kour, Anjali Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Jugal Kishore, Harpreet Kour, Rakesh Kumar, Abhilsaha Vedwan (Assistant Coach SMVD Sports Complex), Kuldeep Raj, Vikas verma, Balbir Singh, Jaswant Singh, Jyoti Sharma, Mohd. Raiz, Sushil Kumar, Ankush Sharma, Anoop Jyoti, Deep Sharma, Sahil Sharma and Priya Sharma.
The Results: BOYS: Under-14: Recurve: Krishna (Reasi) Gold; Harshit (Kathua) Silver. Under-17: Recurve: Jai Vardhan (Jammu), Gold. Under-17: Indian Round: Arshit (Jammu), Gold; Layak (Jammu), Silver and Rishit (Jammu),Bronze.
Under-19: Compound: Naksham (Reasi), Gold and Omkara (Reasi), Silver.
Indian Round: Pranav (Jammu), Gold; Ritik Singh (Kathua), Silver and Gurvinder Roy, (Kathua), Bronze.
GIRLS: Under-14: Indian Round: Manya (Jammu), Gold; Etasha (Jammu), Silver and Bhavya (Jammu), Bronze. Recurve: Nirbhya, Gold.
Under-17: Compound: Sheetal, Gold and Shivani, (Kishtwar), Silver. Under-19: Indian Round: Shreya (Kathua), Gold; Soniya (Kathua), Silver and Janvi, (Kathua), Bornze.
