Rs. 150 Cr earmarked for waiving 50% loans to farmers

Minister for Finance, Dr. Haseeb A Drabu today informed the House that government has earmarked Rs. 150 crore during current financial year for waiver of 50% of KCC loans for the smallest and most vulnerable farmers who had an outstanding balance of less than Rs. one lakh as on March 31, 2015.

Replying to a question by Choudhary Sukhnandan, the Minister said that the Bank wise and district wise details of such loanees as received are being examined and relief on account of such waiver would be provided to the farmers shortly.
