Woman found dead mysteriously in Doda

The body of a married woman was found in Nallah under mysterious circumstance in remote Marmat area of district Doda on late Tuesday evening. She was mother of two minor children.

Identified as 26 year-old Pinky Devi wife of Sanjay Kumar of village Roat in tehsil Marmat. Her body was found in Kheeri-Nallah under mysterious circumstance on Tuesday evening by locals who informed police about the incident later.

The incident came as a shock to her family members. A case was registered and the body was handed over to the family after postmortem examination.

Firdous Ahmed, Police Post In-charge Goha said, “We are in early stage of our investigating to this case and not in position to disclose anything whether it is suicide or anything else.”

He added, “Police is collecting information from locals and family members. However, the body was shifted to Goha, Public Health Centre for postmortem and later, handed over to family for also rites.”
