PoJK intruder handed over to Poonch police

Poonch, Mar 01: The 27-years-old man from Pakistan occupied and (PoJK), who was detained on Monday while infiltrating from LoC, has been handed over to police by the Indian Army for further legal formalities.

He has been identified as Dilshan Ahmed (28) son of Muhammad Sayeed resident of Hajira PoK.

Officials told that this man was trying to infiltrate from the Line of Control on Monday evening when alert army troops manning LoC in Balnoi intercepted his movement and detained him.

“The man was kept in a local army camp for investigation and questioning after which he was handed over to local police authorities on Tuesday afternoon for further investigation and legal formalities,” they said.

Officials said that joint questioning of the detained man is on and legal formalities have also been initiated.

“He has so far been found to be suffering from some anxiety and has failed to answer most of the questions. Investigating agencies are trying to ascertain his motive behind infiltration,” the officials said—(KNO)
