Jammu Tawi, January 05: One person was killed while another has been injured, after an i20 car was hit by a boulder at Jaswal Bridge, on Wednesday.
As per an official, an i20 car, bearing registration No. JK 01AB 4050 was hit by a boulder near Jaswal Bridge at around 12:45 pm today.
“One person died on spot whereas the other one has been shifted to DH Ramban for medical treatment,” he said. The deceased person was said to be a resident of Srinagar’s Bemina area.
In view of the inclement weather, shooting stones and slippery road conditions, the traffic official had requested people traveling in LMVs to avoid movement on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) between Banihal to Nashri and other link routes in Ramban District.
