DC Samba listens to public grievances

    SAMBA, AUGUST 19: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Anuradha Gupta, along with district and sectoral

    officers today held a public outreach programme at remote village Deon of Block Purmandal and

    assessed the pace of developmental activities, saturation of Public benefit schemes and also listened to

    the public grievances.

    District Development Council member Avtar Singh;  Additional District Development Commissioner Tilak

    Raj Shastri; Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur Vinay Sharma; Sarpanch Panchayat Deon, Executive

    Engineers of PWD, PDD, Jal Shakti, besides other district and sectoral officers were also present.

    The programme witnessed the participation of local public and PRI members, who appraised the DC

    regarding various issues faced by them.

    The demanded maintenance of rural roads under PMGSY, adequate power supply, clean and hygienic

    drinking water supply, upgrading of Schools & Hospitals, protection works to minimize damage by flash floods, completion of pending works of Rural Development  and PWD departments, besides bringing the

    area on tourist map of J&K  by creating adequate tourism infrastructure.

    The DC, while taking cognisance of the problems, directed PWD, Jal Shakti and PDD Engineers to resolve

    all grievances within stipulated time frame and furnish a detailed status report to her office. She issued

    on the spot orders regarding immediate handing over of a vacant govt building in response to a local

    demand.
