    4 Fire & Emergency Officials Suspended After ACB Arrest

    Jammu, Jun 19: The Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Jammu and Kashmir, on Friday suspended four officials after their arrest by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with FIR No. 01/2025 registered at Police Station ACB Central Jammu.

    According to an official order issued by Director Fire and Emergency Services Alok Kumar, the suspended officials include Leading Fireman Farooq Ahmad Wani and Firemen Mohammad Abdul Qayoom, Feroz Ahmad Yatoo and Shameem Ahmad Dar.

    The action was taken following their arrest in the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Officials said departmental proceedings are expected to follow as per rules.

    The order places the officials under suspension with immediate effect, barring them from performing any official duties during the period of suspension.

    Further details regarding the allegations and investigation have not been officially disclosed. The case is under scrutiny by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Jammu, which is probing the matter registered under FIR No. 01/2025.

    Authorities said strict action will be taken in cases involving corruption or misconduct within the department, reiterating commitment to maintaining transparency and accountability in public services.
