Jammu Tawi: Shiv Sena (Bala Saheb Thackeray) Jammu and Kashmir unit protested strongly against the hike in LPG prices. Under the leadership of party state president Manish Sahni, Shiv Sainiks registered their protest by using LPG cylinders as stools and chulha tables.
Sahni said that the price of LPG has been increased seven times in the last seven months and for the second straight month by Rs 25. In Jammu and Kashmir, the price of LPG cylinder has crossed 900.
LPG prices have more than doubled in seven years of Modi regime. He castigated the BJP Government for having failed to control inflation and the common people are facing the brunt on account of this spine breaking inflation.
He said that petrol and diesel prices are at all-time high having made history; LPG prices have doubled as compared to their prices before 2014 while the prices of vegetables, fruits, edible oils, pulses, eggs and other essentials are out of reach of the common man.
Sahni demanded that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi should immediately withdraw this unprecedented hike in the price of LPG and provide relief to the general public. President Women’s Wing Meenakshi Chhibber, Chairman Rakesh Gupta, Vice President Sanjeev Kohli, Vikas Diwan, Baldev Singh, President Kamgar Wing Raj Singh, Vice President Sanjeev Sudan, President Yuva Binny Mahajan, Balbir Singh, Geeta Lakhotra Meena Devi, Tarsem, Surjit, Dimple were also present in the protest.
