Srinagar, June 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters has ordered a major reshuffle, transferring and posting 60 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) across the Union Territory to strengthen policing and improve operational efficiency.
The exercise includes adjustment of 28 newly promoted DySPs and transfer of 32 serving officers, with postings across CID, SIA, Crime Branch, Traffic, Armed Police, Security, Railways, ANTF and training institutions.
Among the newly promoted DySPs, Sanjay Gupta has been posted to CID SB Ramban, Riyaz Mustafa to CTC Lethpora, Mir Zahid to Arms/Ammunition Headquarters, Arif Ahmad Ahanger to STC Sheeri, Ashwani Kumar to Anti-Corruption Bureau, Nasir Syed Kirmani to Cyber Investigative Centre for Excellence Srinagar, and Tahir Ahmad to DySP IT Crime Headquarters.
Others include Iftikhar Ahmad Mir to PTS Manigam, Ramesh Kumar Pandita and Arun Kotwal to STC Talwara, Sunil Kumar Ganjoo to CID Headquarters, Javaid Akhter to 1 JKAP Women, Ajay Bhat and Som Raj to 1 JKAP Border, Vijay Kotwal to SIA Jammu, Shabir Ahmed to 5 JKAP IR, Kulbir Singh to 18 JKAP IR, Chaman Gorka to 7 JKAP Security, Sanjeev Kumar to CID CI Jammu, Sunil Kumar to 14 JKAP IR, Jag Jiwan Ram to 1 JKAP IR, Naveen Angral to Security Airport Jammu, Yog Raj to 9 JKAP IR, Yasir Arfat to 20 JKAP IR, Hargopal Singh to 11 JKAP IR, and Lateef Ahmad to Railways Kashmir.
In the lateral transfers, Showkat Ahmad Bhat has been moved from PCR Kashmir to HQ Pulwama, Albeena Malik from CICE Jammu to SDRF Jammu, Shahjhan Choudhary from SIA Jammu to HQ Baramulla, Kosheen Koul from CID SB Samba-Kathua to 16 JKAP IR, Zafar Mahdi from SIA Kashmir to HQ Bandipora, and Ajaz Ahmed from 8 JKAP to Traffic Rajouri-Poonch.
Others include Shoket Ali to Traffic Doda-Kishtwar, Kulwant Singh to CID CI Baramulla, Sukhdev Singh to 18 JKAP IR, Mohd Rafee Rather to CID SB Srinagar, Tariq Ahmad Tak to Traffic Anantnag, Nazir Ahmad to 23 JKAP IR, Abdul Aziz Ganai to 11 JKAP Security, Kubra Nazir to ANTF Kashmir, Khurshid Ahmad to 11 JKAP IR, and Bharat Sharma to SDPO Akhnoor.
Further transfers include Khudmukhtar Dev to 24 JKAP IR, Virender Gupta to CID SB Jammu, Vijay Singh to SB Samba-Kathua, Kirpal Singh to 18 JKAP IR, Sunil Gupta to Traffic Samba-Kathua, and Ashiq Hussain to 10 JKAP IR.
In additional movements, Monika Thakur has been posted to SOG Baramulla, Yasir Farooq Baig to SIA Kashmir, Manisha Kumari to CICE Jammu, Neeraj Badyal to CICE Jammu, Showket Ahmad Bukhari to LCMA Srinagar, Mir Afaq Ahmad to 10 JKAP IR, Hafizullah Mir to 2 JKAP Women, Pir Atiquallah to DAR Handwara, Neeraj Bhagat to 18 JKAP IR, and Ashwani Kumar to 12 JKAP IR.
To ensure continuity, the order also assigns additional charge of SOG Kandi Rajouri to DSP SOG Darhal, while DSP District Administrative Reserve Ramban will hold additional charge of SOG Ramban until further orders.
Officials said the reshuffle aims to improve coordination, strengthen field deployment and enhance overall policing efficiency across the Union Territory.
