Srinagar, Aug 20: In a remarkable and unique achievement, a Delhi-based infant, Ana Noor, who was earlier living in Srinagar, has entered the International Book of Records as the “Youngest to Reach Khardung La, Ladakh.”
At just 4 months and 21 days old, Ana reached the world’s highest motorable pass on July 4, 2025, breaking the previous record held by a 5-month-25-day-old baby.
About the infant’s achievement, the family, who were on a trip to Ladakh, said the idea came naturally while visiting Khardung La, located two hours from Leh.
“We thought of taking Ana along as it was not too far. We consulted our paediatrician beforehand, kept her hydrated, carried basic first aid and spent less time at the spot,” her parents said.
They admitted that the rough roads made the journey uncomfortable, but said Ana remained calm and mostly slept during the trip. “We feel super proud, no words can explain the joy. It is a dream moment for any parent when their child does something extraordinary,” they expressed.
Sharing a message for other parents, the family said: “Spend time with your children, explore the world and never stop them from taking challenges. Don’t let ‘Log kya kahenge’ decide their path.”
Notably, with this feat, little Ana Noor’s name has now been etched in the record books, setting a unique milestone in adventure travel.
