    2 militant associates arrested

    Srinagar, Nov 2: Two suspected militant associates of Al Badr were arrested in Srinagar, police said on Thursday.

    The arrests were made during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday at Shalateng Bund.

    The two were identified as Yawar Rashid Dar and Basit Nabi Bhat- both residents of of Sanderkote Bala Hajin Bandipora.

    “During late night checking at a security checkpoint along Shalteng bridge by the joint party, the two terrorist affiliates of “Al-Badr” were arrested, ” Police said.

    Police claimed to have recovered a pistol, two magazines, 28 rounds and a hand grenade from their possession during search.

    In this regard a case has been registered in Police Station Parimpora.
