Vikram Opens Up About His On-Screen Chemistry With Aishwarya Rai
One of the most popular on-screen pairings in Indian cinema has been that of Vikram and Aishwarya Rai. In a recent interview, Vikram discussed his experience of working with Aishwarya Rai in films like Ponniyin Selvan and Raavan. When asked about his off-screen relationship with Aishwarya, the actor said that he shares a great bond with her husband Abhishek Bachchan.
Vikram revealed that Abhishek is a very close friend of his. He mentioned that due to his friendship with Abhishek, he also shares a good rapport with Aishwarya. However, Vikram noted that in the films they have worked together, their characters have always been involved with someone else romantically.
He cited the examples of Raavan and Ponniyin Selvan where their respective roles were in love with different partners. Vikram jokingly told director Mani Ratnam that he should give their characters a happy ending in at least one film to please their legions of fans. According to Vikram, the chemistry between him and Aishwarya is a big draw for audiences.
The actor praised Aishwarya's commitment and perfectionist work ethic on film sets. Vikram said she is a delight to work with professionally. However, he reiterated that Abhishek is a very close friend of his and through him, he also knows Aishwarya on a personal level. Vikram was recently seen in the Tamil blockbuster Thangalaan and its Hindi version will hit screens on September 6.
