    Team India celebrates T20 World Cup win with functions in Delhi, Mumbai


    The celebrations are underway for the Indian cricket team after their historic triumph in West Indies. The players, led by captain Rohit Sharma, touched down in Delhi early Thursday morning with the coveted trophy in hand. They received a rousing welcome from the gathered fans at the airport.

    As per schedule, the team then met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for breakfast at his residence. from the meeting showed PM Modi congratulating each player individually. Captain Rohit presented the PM with a signed Team jersey.

    The players have now made their way to Mumbai, where more festivities await them. This evening, the city streets will erupt in joy as the champions take part in an open-top bus parade. Starting at the iconic NCPA, the bus tour will treat fans to close views of their heroes and the glittering trophy.

    Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium, venue of many Indian cricket triumphs over the years, will host a grand celebration function. The players will be felicitated by the BCCI for their momentous achievement of winning the T20 Cup after 13 long years. A sea of fans is expected to turn up and cheer for the team on this occasion.

    After so many ups and downs over the past few months, it seems the players are now making the most of this well-deserved time in the spotlight. The victory has lifted the spirits of the entire nation. All of India looks forward to celebrating with their talented cricketers in Mumbai this evening.
