Speaker asks Govt to consider Amarnath Land row agitation victims

Tawi, January 10 :  Speaker J&K Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today directed the Government to consider compensation to the next of kin of those who lost their lives or were injured during the Amarnath land row agitation during 2008 as was promised by the then government.

The Speaker also called for reviewing and withdrawing the cases against those arrested during the agitation. He said representatives of various organizations have met him from time to time and sought his intervention in the matter to provide justice to the sufferers of the agitation.
