Jammu Tawi, Mar 03: Security forces on Thursday conducted search operations in Samba villages.
The villages are located along the International Border in the district.
Officials said that as a measure to strengthen the security grid especially on counter insurgency front, army, Police, border security force and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jointly launched the search operation in several areas.
They said that all the areas are located along the Line of Control whereas the operation started on Thursday morning and was called off in late afternoon hours.
They added that besides area domination patrols and area searches, house to house searches were also conducted in the area.
They said that this operation was part of a routine security practice aimed to strengthen the security grid.
