New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth across government departments and organizations.
Addressing the event, titled ‘Rozgar Mela’, the Prime Minister said that lakhs of youth have been employed under the initiative, and are contributing to the development of the nation.
“Our motto is ‘Bina Parchi Bina Kharchi’. Lakhs of youth have been employed through such Rozgar Mela and are contributing to the development of the nation. Some will protect the nation, some warriors of ‘Help for all’, some will strengthen the financial inclusion mission, and many others will enhance the industrial development of the nation,” he said.
“Your departments are different, but one body – nation’s service,” PM Modi added.
“Our country is moving towards becoming the third-largest economy in the world. The country has made progress in every sector in the last 11 years,” he added.
The Rozgar Mela is a key initiative under the government’s push to prioritize employment creation, aiming to provide meaningful job opportunities for young people and promote their engagement in the nation’s development.
As per official figures, over 10 lakh appointment letters have been distributed so far through Rozgar Melas held across the country.
The 16th edition of the event took place at 47 locations nationwide.
The new recruits were inducted into various ministries and departments, including the Ministry of Railways, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Department of Posts, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others.
