New Delhi, Jan 17: Rashtrapati Bhavan will remain closed for public visits from January 21 to 29 in view of the upcoming Republic Day Parade and the Beating Retreat ceremony, an official statement said on Saturday.
According to the President’s Secretariat, visits to Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Circuit-1, which takes visitors through the main building, will be suspended during this period. “Visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan (Circuit-1) will remain closed for the general public from January 21 to 29, 2026, due to the upcoming Republic Day Parade and Beating Retreat Ceremony,” the statement said.
The annual Republic Day Parade is held on Kartavya Path, while the Beating Retreat ceremony, marking the formal conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations, takes place on January 29 at Vijay Chowk. Vijay Chowk is located at the western end of Kartavya Path, close to Rashtrapati Bhavan. (Agencies)
