RAJOURI, AUGUST 05: To hear and redress the public grievances at their doorsteps, the Vice-Chairman District Development Council, Rajouri Shabir Khan today held a public outreach camp at Manjakote.
The grievance redressal camp witnessed the overwhelming response of the people from across the block.
Specific issues raised during the programme included sanctioning of a Degree college, early restoration of public utilities damaged due to incessant rains and timely compensation to the people who suffered losses due to flash floods, release of pending payments of 14 FC, bunkers and B2V, the inclusion of left out beneficiaries under PMAY, repair of roads and delay in the execution of developmental works
Other issues included lack of internet connectivity, delayed execution of works approved under B2V, sanctioning of additional electric poles and transformers, exaggerated electricity poles, sanctioning of additional Anganwadi centres, sanctioning of pension cases besides other related issues, sanctioning of additional border bunkers, repairing of water supply scheme at panchayat Kallali etc.
While speaking during the programme, the ADDC highlighted several initiatives taken by the District Administration for the welfare of the general public and urged upon them to avail the benefits of the same.
In his address, the Vice-Chairman said that the District Development Council and the District Administration, both are making persistent efforts to provide quality services to the common masses, that too at their doorsteps to ensure that they don’t face any inconvenience.
The Vice-Chairman directed the officers to work with a missionary zeal so that the people of the area may not be deprived of getting their genuine demands. He also asked them to gear up their field machinery and ensure that the difficulties of the people are addressed and resolved at the earliest.
The Vice-Chairman also appealed to the public to ensure their active participation in the developmental process to take the district to new heights of development.
