Doda, November 20: A tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Wednesday evening claimed the life of one person and left eight others injured. The incident occurred when an Eeco vehicle, bearing registration number JK06A-9929, lost control and plunged off the road onto an under-construction building near Kutiyara, Jathi Assar.
The deceased has been identified as Davinder Kumar, a resident of Jattas. He was declared dead upon arrival at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Assar.
The injured individuals include Suresh Kumar, Kamaljeet Kumar, Shano Devi, Om Prakash, Rohit Kumar, Bihari Lal, Sanjeev Kumar, and Ravinder Singh. All were initially treated at CHC Assar before being referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for further medical care.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
