NPP demands restoration of Statehood, Assembly polls

Tawi:  Online Working Committee meeting was held at J&K Panthers Party (JKNPP) Headquarters at Jammu under Chairmanship of Prof.Bhim Singh, President-JKNPP. JKNPP Working Committee demanded restoration of J&K State which was dissolved by the BJP govt on 05th August, 2019. He said restoration of statehood is the Lead Mission of the JKNPP in the interests of people of J&K and rest of the country.

He also demanded State Assembly Election at the earliest so that a democratic government is constituted in J&K. He also demanded removal of Public Safety Act (PSA-78) which is anti chapter-III (on Fundamental Rights in the Constitution) and was signed by the President of in 1953, which was valid only for 6 months. JKNPP senior leadership expressed deep anguish on the sad demise of Padam Shri, Padma Sachdev, the dogri cultural, literary, legendary, poet and writer. Two minute silence was observed in honour of Padma's memory here today. Prof.Bhim Singh said, “in Padma Sachdev, Jammu lost a sincere friend, legendary intellectual and philosopher”. P.K Ganju, Mohd Iqbal Choudhary, Anita Thakur, Yashpaul Kundal, Capt. Anil Gour, Paramjit Singh Marshal, Neeraj Dewan, Rajeshwar Sambyal (Samba), Mohinder, Ranjit, Chetan Sharma, Balwan Singh (Reasi), Rajesh Gondhi, Surinder Kumar Wahi, Pushpa Devi (Rajouri), Master Hushar (Rajouri), Jagdev Singh (Talwara), Saleem Sheikh Advocate (Poonch), Girdhari Lal Sharma (Poonch), Pushkin Antal, Shiv Charan Singh, Sdr. Nirmal Singh (Pardan) were also present in the meeting.
