Srinagar, Feb 28 (UNI): The night temperature in Kashmir continues to remain sub-zero, officials said on Monday.
According to the Meteorological Department, the tourist resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir was the coldest place with minus 8 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam in south Kashmir recorded a low of minus 6.8 degrees.
Srinagar recorded minus 0.6 degrees Celsius.
Qazigund in south Kashmir recorded a cold night, with the mercury falling to minus 3.8 degrees Celsius. Kupwara district in north Kashmir recorded minus 1.9 degrees Celsius.
Kashmir received heavy snowfall on February 23. Jammu recorded a low of 7.5 degrees.
The minimum temperature in Leh in Ladakh was minus 12.8 degrees.
