New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted raids at nine locations across Punjab and Haryana as part of its ongoing probe into the growing gangster-terror nexus. The raids, which began early in the morning, targeted eight locations in Punjab and one in Haryana, following intelligence about suspects linked to the case.

The searches are aimed at dismantling criminal networks suspected of aiding terrorist organizations. This move is part of the NIA’s continued efforts to curb the increasing collaboration between gangsters and terror groups in the region.

The latest operation follows a major crackdown by the agency last month when it raided properties connected to associates of the Davinder Bambiha gang across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. During those searches, the NIA seized incriminating evidence, including digital devices, banking records, and property documents.

The NIA’s investigation, launched under the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs, reveals large-scale attempts by these terror-gangster syndicates to fund terrorist activities in India, including smuggling arms, ammunition, explosives, and narcotics into the country.
