Jammu Tawi: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta today led a massive protest against the resolution passed by Jammu and Kashmir Assembly against the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A. During the protest in Jammu, BJP workers burned an effigy of the NC, denouncing the resolution as an “anti-national agenda” and accusing NC of rekindling divisive policies that undermine national unity. Addressing the media persons, Gupta asserted that the BJP remains steadfast in its commitment to uphold the abrogation of Article 370, which he highlighted as a historic decision by the Modi government aimed at fostering integration, development, and peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He condemned NC’s actions, calling them a desperate attempt to revive outdated tactics and to fuel unrest, which goes against the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Kavinder further alleged bias on the part of the Speaker, accusing him of siding with the National Conference and enabling the passing of this anti-national resolution. The protest saw enthusiastic participation from prominent BJP leaders, including District President Parmod Kapahi, former Minister Priya Sethi, former Mayor Rajinder Sharma, Veenu Khanna, Rajesh Gupta, and Keshav Chopra, Raman Sharma,Needhi Magotra, Anil Masoom,Savita Anand and Parveen Kerni who echoed the sentiment that Article 370’s abrogation was a step toward fulfilling the people’s desire for lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
