Movement Kalki organizes rally, demands ‘National Mother’ Status for Cows

Jammu Tawi:  Movement Kalki on Sunday organized a rally  from Resham Ghar Colony,  demanding the declaration of cows as the ‘National Mother’ of India, stronger protection laws for cows, and the establishment of a ‘Cow Welfare Board’ and ‘Sanatan Board.’ The rally, led by Pawan Sharma and Baba Khandeshwari Ji, witnessed widespread participation from local residents and supporters.

This rally marks the 28th day of the ongoing protest by Movement Kalki, which has been staging a sit-in at Amphala Chowk. Protesters reiterated their commitment to continue their demonstration until the government addresses their demands.

Protesters voiced concerns over the government’s inaction, with one participant stating, “Our leaders make big promises during elections but fail to deliver when it matters. We are demanding the protection of our culture and traditions, and we won’t stop until our voices are heard.”

Women protesters expressed their frustration, saying, “This movement is about protecting our culture, religion, and traditions. The government must take action to safeguard our heritage.”

Pawan Sharma, leader of Movement Kalki, said, “We are raising awareness for our cause. If the government does not act on our demands, this movement will spread beyond Jammu to a national and global scale.”

Neetu Sharma, President of the Insaniyat Zindabad Trust, added, “This movement is about preserving Sanatan traditions. It is unfortunate that the government and elected representatives are ignoring us. We fully support this protest.”

Baba Khandeshwari Ji emphasized the importance of cows, stating, “Cows have nourished us for centuries, and we must now protect them. This is not just about cows; it’s about preserving our culture and society.”

Prominent figures such as former councilor Balbir Kumar Bali, senior leader Raj Bakshi, Manori Devi, Rajkumar Lalotra, Bhupendra Singh, Shyamlal, and Tarsem Lal Buta attended the rally, lending their support to the cause.
