Gurugram: Marengo AsiaHospitals Gurugram hosted a drawing competition for children from five schools on the theme of Blood Health to increase awareness of declining blood health in the Indian population due to various factors. The Bone Marrow Transplant team at Marengo Asia Hospitals Gurugram is led by Dr Meet Kumar,Clinical Director of Hemato-oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant, and is supported by Dr Neeraj Teotia, Consultant -Pediatric Hemato-Oncology and BMT. Dr Meet comes with experience of more than a decade and a half, dedicated to treating all types of blood cancers and blood-related disorders.”Blood health” refers to the overall condition and functioning of the blood within the human body. It encompasses various aspects such as the quantity and quality of blood cells (red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets), the proper circulation of blood throughout the body, and the balance of essential components like hemoglobin and clotting factors.
