SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Jammu and Kashmir Police have seized property worth over Rs 4 crore, including five residential houses and three vehicles, belonging to drug peddlers in Anantnag district. The action was taken under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, according to a police statement. The seized properties include the houses of Reyaz Ahmad Dar, Mohammad Yousuf Reshi, Subzar Ahmad Mir, Mohammad Shafi Dar, and Abdul Hamid Chopan, all residents of Anantnag. Additionally, three vehicles were confiscated, including a Santro car owned by Mohammad Shafi Dar, a WagonR registered to Manzoor Ahmad Mantoo, and a Toyota Corolla.
This move is part of ongoing efforts by authorities to combat drug trafficking and disrupt the financial networks of those involved in the illicit drug trade in the region.
