Jammu, Feb 19: Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint operation with the Army, arrested a man in Rajouri district’s Nowshera belt and recovered foreign-made pistols, magazines and live rounds from his possession, officials said on Thursday.
The suspect, identified as Sachin Kumar of Sair in Nowshera, was apprehended by a joint patrol of Police Station Nowshera and Army personnel in the Raipur area.
During search, two foreign-made pistols (Turkey/China-made), four magazines and 15 live cartridges were seized from him without any valid documents, officials said.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and further investigation is underway, they added. (Agencies)
