J&K Administration working for permanent settlement of Kashmiri Pandits in Valley: L-G Manoj Sinha

: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said the J&K administration had been working for complete settlement of Kashmiri Pandits who had migrated to Jammu and elsewhere due to terrorism in Valley. “The administration is working with complete dedication to create a favorable scenario for the permanent settlement of Kashmiri Pandit community in the Valley,” the L-G said. He said this while addressing Pandits at Mata Bhadrakali shrine on the outskirts of Jammu city.

Recalling his earlier discussion with a delegation, the L-G said the government would make necessary arrangements to provide land at low price to government employees in Srinagar to build their houses.

He said, “A nodal officer has been appointed in L-G Secretariat to address all the issues and concerns of Kashmiri Pandit community.”

He further said that the security situation in the UT was better as compared to past. “The security situation is better than it was in the past. With confidence, I can say that terrorism is taking its last breath,” L-G said.

Without naming Pakistan, he said, “Despite desperate attempts to disrupt peace by the neighboring country and terror outfits, our police and security forces are working round the clock to ensure a safe and secure for the people.”
