Jammu Tawi: To address the issue regarding complaints from farmers about potentially fake or duplicate fertilizer impacting their crops, Amit Kapoor, Spokesperson and Member of the Parliamentary Board for Janta Dal United (JDU), met with Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Ram Nath Thakur. During the meeting, Amit Kapoor, alongside J.M. Shaheen, the State President of JDU, highlighted the grievances of the farming community in Jammu. They pressed the union minister on the significant losses that farmers could face due to the use of potentially substandard DAP fertilizer. Kapoor and Shaheen also discussed other challenges farmers are experiencing under the current administration.
Ram Nath Thakur assured the leaders that he would look into the matter promptly. He mentioned that instructions would be issued to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to provide quick relief to the affected farmers in Jammu and Kashmir.
