1,700 Omicron cases in country; 639 patients discharged/recovered: MoHFW
New Delhi, January 03: India has reported 33,750 new cases of Covid19, with 123 covid19 fatalities during the last 24 hours, as per Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the ministry, a total of 3,42,95,407 covid19 patients have recovered so far in the country and 10,846 patients have been recovered in the last 24 hours across India.
“The active caseload of the country currently stands at 1,45,582, which constitutes 0.42 percent of the total cases,” said the MoHFW.
It further said that the daily positivity rate at present is 3.84 percent and weekly Positivity Rate remains at 1.68 percent.
The ministry further said that 145.68 Cr. vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 68.09 Cr. total tests have been conducted so far throughout the country.
However, till now the country has reported 1700 omicron cases with 639 patients said to have been discharged/recovered. As per MoHFW, the tally of omicron cases in Maharashtra stands at 510 and 351 in Delhi.
