Govt re-validates unspent Rs 9 Cr for new medical colleges

Srinagar, Aug 24:  and Government on Wednesday ordered for Re-validation of unspent funds under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Establishment of New Medical Colleges attached with District/referral hospitals” for its utilization during current financial year 2022-23.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the re-validation/ release of Rs. 942.96 Lakhs un-spent balance of 2021-22, in favour of Principal, Govt. Medical College, Anantnag, Baramulla, Kathua, Rajouri and Doda under Centrally Sponsored Scheme “Establishment of New Medical Colleges attached with District/referral Hospitals” for meeting expenses on account of 011-Books Periodicals & Publication, 020-Machinery & equipment, 054-Furniture & Furnishing and 103-Office Equipments & Appliances for New Medical Colleges at Anantnag, Baramulla, Rajouri, Doda and Kathua during the current financial year 2022-23,” reads the order issued by Administrative Secretary and Medical .

These funds have been kept available at the disposal of Principal of the concerned Medical Colleges and re-validated funds include 406.203 lakh for GMC Anantnag, 0.20 lakh for GMC Baramulla, 163.86 lakh for GMC Doda, 301.57 lakh for GMC Kuthua and 71.14 lakh for GMC Rajouri, the order reads.
